Everything you need to know about AI photo editing with EditThisPic.
Getting Started
No. You can start editing immediately without any signup. Creating an account (optional) lets you save edits and access them across devices.
JPG, PNG, and WebP images up to 7MB. You can download results in any of these formats.
Most edits complete in 15-30 seconds. Complex edits with detailed backgrounds may take slightly longer.
Using the Editor
No! Just describe what you want. Say 'remove the background' or 'delete the person in red.' The AI understands. Markers are optional for precision when needed.
Be more specific in your description: 'remove the person in the red shirt on the left' instead of just 'remove the person.' You can also tap markers on specific areas for precision.
Each edit creates a new version. You can download the original or any version. To try different approaches, simply describe a new edit.
Be specific about what you want. Instead of 'fix this photo,' try 'sharpen the blurry areas and brighten the faces.' Describe colors, positions, and details.
Yes. Each edit uses one credit. You can chain edits—for example, first remove a person, then change the background.
Removing Things
Upload your photo and describe who to remove: 'remove the person on the right' or 'delete the man in the background.' The AI fills the space with realistic background.
Yes. Either describe them all: 'remove the two people on the left,' or remove one at a time for more control.
Say 'remove the background' for transparent, or 'replace background with white' for solid color. Download as PNG to keep transparency.
Yes, from your own photos. Upload the image and say 'remove the watermark.' The AI reconstructs what's behind it.
Describe the object to remove: 'remove the trash can' or 'delete the power lines.' The AI fills the space naturally.
Adding & Replacing
Upload your main photo and a reference image of the person. Describe placement: 'add the person from the reference image standing on the left.' The AI handles blending.
Yes. Either describe it: 'replace background with sunset beach,' or upload a reference image of the background you want.
Describe the change: 'change the red car to blue' or 'make her dress green.' The AI changes the color while preserving texture and lighting.
Yes. Describe the text, style, and position: 'add white bold text saying SALE in the top right corner.'
Fixing & Restoring
Yes. Upload the blurry photo and say 'sharpen this photo' or 'fix the blur.' AI can recover significant detail from motion or focus blur.
Upload the scanned photo and describe the issues: 'fix the scratches and restore faded colors' or simply 'restore this old photo.'
Yes. Upload the B&W photo and say 'add natural colors' or 'colorize this photo.' The AI adds realistic colors based on image content.
Say 'enhance this photo' for general improvement, or be specific: 'increase resolution,' 'improve lighting,' or 'make colors more vibrant.'
Portrait Retouching
Say 'smooth the skin naturally' or 'light skin retouching.' The AI preserves texture while reducing imperfections. Ask for less if results look too smooth.
Yes. Say 'whiten teeth' or 'brighten the smile.' The AI whitens proportionally for natural results.
Say 'fix the flyaway hairs' or 'smooth the stray hairs on top.' The AI removes flyaways while keeping the natural hairstyle.
Yes. Describe the change: 'change hair to blonde' or 'make eyes green.' Be specific about the shade for best results.
Privacy & Blur
Say 'blur the face on the left' or 'blur all faces except mine.' Useful for street photography or protecting others' identity.
Yes. Say 'blur the license plate' or describe which vehicle if there are multiple.
Say 'blur the background' or 'add portrait mode effect.' The AI identifies your subject and blurs everything behind.
