How it works

   Drop your image with unwanted text into EditThisPic. JPG, PNG, WebP up to 7MB. Works on any photo with text overlays, captions, signs, or written content you want removed.

   Expect: Small text or corner caption: 15-20 seconds. Large text across the image: 20-35 seconds and may need a refinement pass.

   Describe the text to remove

   Type 'remove all the text from this photo' or be specific: 'erase the white caption text at the bottom of the image.' For photos where some text should stay (like a sign you want to keep), specify which text to remove. The AI understands text as a visual element.

   Tip: If the photo has text you want to keep AND text to remove, be specific: 'remove only the meme caption, keep the street sign text.'

   Review the removal

   Check that all unwanted text is gone. Zoom in on where text was—the underlying image should be smooth with no letter ghosts, color shifts, or blur patches. Verify text you wanted to keep is still intact.

   Refine with markers if needed

   If some text remains or the fill under removed text doesn't look right, tap markers on those spots and regenerate. Also use markers to specify exactly which text to remove if the AI catches the wrong one.

   Tip: Markers are for precision refinement only. Try without them first—you usually won't need them.
