How it works

  1. Upload your two photos

Drop your product photo (the item you want to brand) into EditThisPic. Then click '+ Add reference photo' to upload your logo image. A PNG with transparent background is ideal for the logo reference, but JPEG logos on white backgrounds also work. JPG, PNG, WebP up to 7MB each.

Expect: Flat surface logos: 25-30 seconds. Curved or textured surfaces like bottles or bags may need 2 attempts to get the wrap right.
  2. Provide your logo as reference

The logo reference tells the AI exactly what graphic to apply. Logos on transparent PNG backgrounds give the cleanest results. If your only logo file is on white, that works too — the AI separates the logo from the background. Vector exports saved as PNG also work well.

Tip: Use your highest-resolution logo file for the reference. The more detail in the reference, the sharper the logo appears on the product.

Copy one of these to get started:

Logo on bottle (cylindrical surface) add this logo to the front of the bottle, centered on the label area, following the cylindrical curvature naturally, with the same warm studio lighting and preserving the logo's exact colors
Logo on flat box or packaging apply this logo flat and centered on the front face of the box, upper third position, matching the overhead studio lighting, logo colors accurate to the reference
Logo on a bag or flexible packaging add this logo to the front of the bag, following the subtle surface wrinkles naturally, centered in the main panel area, matching the ambient store lighting
Logo on apparel or fabric add this logo embroidered on the chest of the shirt, following the fabric texture, centered and left-chest position, matching the soft studio lighting
    2 more prompts
Logo on a tote or canvas bag add this logo screen-printed on the front of the canvas tote bag, centered, following the slight canvas texture, with natural indoor lighting
Logo on a mug or ceramic product add this logo to the side of the mug facing the camera, following the curved ceramic surface, with warm indoor lighting and a natural reflection visible on the glaze
  3. Describe placement and surface behavior

Tell the AI where the logo should appear and how it should conform to the product surface: 'add this logo to the front of the can, centered, following the cylinder's curvature with consistent lighting' or 'apply this logo flat on the top of the box lid, matching the product's warm studio light.'

Tip: For curved surfaces (bottles, cans, rounded packaging), specify 'following the surface curvature' to get natural logo wrap. For flat surfaces, specify 'flat placement' for crispness.

  4. Verify the branded result

Check that the logo follows the product's surface curvature naturally, the logo color renders correctly under the product's lighting, and brand details (fine lines, small text) are legible. Rotate or resize cues in a follow-up prompt if needed.

Logo applied to a canvas tote bag

A natural canvas tote with a screen-print style logo applied — AI followed the canvas texture and maintained the organic look of fabric printing.

Prompt: Add the logo from the reference photo to the front center of this tote bag. Make it look like a realistic screen print, so it follows the canvas texture and the color looks slightly absorbed by the fabric.

Quick answers

Do I need TWO photos for this?

Yes. Upload your product photo as the main image and your logo as the reference image. EditThisPic reads your logo from the reference and applies it to the product surface — following curves, matching lighting, and preserving your brand colors. A transparent-background PNG is ideal for the logo reference.

How do I add my logo to a product photo for free?

Upload your product photo to EditThisPic, click '+ Add reference photo' to upload your logo, then describe the placement: 'add this logo centered on the front label, following the bottle's curvature, matching the studio lighting.' The AI applies it in about 30 seconds. Free, no account needed, no watermark.

Does my logo need to be a transparent PNG?

Transparent PNG gives the cleanest results, but JPEG logos on white backgrounds also work. If you use a JPEG, tell the AI to ignore the white background: 'add only the logo graphic, not the white background from the reference.' For best results, export your logo as PNG with transparency from your design tool.

Can I preview how my logo looks before printing?

Yes, this is one of the most common uses. Upload your product manufacturer's photo and your logo file, and the AI shows you exactly how the branding will look — on bottles, boxes, bags, apparel, mugs, and more. This is far faster and cheaper than ordering physical samples just to check logo placement.

Can I test different logo placements on the same product?

Yes. Upload the same product photo and logo reference, but describe different placements in each edit: front label, back label, lid, side panel. This lets you compare multiple placement options side-by-side before deciding on the final position.
