How do I remove a date watermark from a photo?
Upload your photo, type a prompt describing the watermark and where it sits ('remove the translucent date watermark across the bottom'), and click Generate. The AI removes the text and rebuilds the area underneath in 15-30 seconds. No selection or clone stamping needed.
Can it handle translucent or semi-transparent watermarks?
Yes — those are exactly what EditThisPic was built for. Translucent watermarks tint the area underneath slightly, which the AI accounts for when reconstructing the fill. Just describe the watermark and the position, and the AI handles both removing the text and color-correcting the underlying area.
Will it work on diagonal watermarks across the whole image?
Yes. Diagonal watermarks are harder than corner watermarks because they cross multiple textures, but the AI handles them in one pass. Be patient — these can take closer to 30 seconds. For complex subjects (faces, products), use Pro mode for sharper reconstruction.
Does it work on tiled date watermarks that repeat across the image?
Yes. Stock photo previews often tile a date watermark across the entire image. Describe it as 'the repeating date watermark tiled across the image' and the AI removes every instance in a single pass.
Is this AI date watermark remover really free?
Yes — every visitor gets one free edit per week with no account needed, so you can erase a date watermark from a photo at no cost the first time. If you need more, a 10-edit pack is $4.99, 25 edits is $9.99, and 100 edits is $29.99. There are also one-time credit packs from $4.99.
Can I remove date watermarks on my phone?
Yes. EditThisPic runs entirely in your mobile browser — iPhone Safari, Android Chrome, and tablets all work. There's nothing to install. Just open editthispic.com, tap to upload from your camera roll, type your prompt, and the cleaned photo downloads straight back to your phone.
What photo formats does the AI date watermark remover support?
EditThisPic accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC files up to 7MB. HEIC matters for iPhone users since that's the default capture format. The result downloads as a standard JPG or PNG.
How long does it take to remove a date watermark?
Most edits finish in 15-30 seconds. Complex diagonal or tiled watermarks may take a little longer. Pro mode (2 credits, sharper results) can take up to a minute. If it ever takes longer than that, the credit refunds automatically.
How much does EditThisPic cost?
You get 1 free edit per week — no account needed. After that, one-time credit packs start at $4.99 for 10 edits, valid 12 months, no subscription. Power users who edit daily can pick Studio Membership, a monthly workspace at $49.99/mo for 300 edits. Purchased downloads are clean with no watermark.
