Swap Two People's Positions in a Photo

How it works

   Upload your photo

   Upload the photo that already has both people in it — a family portrait, team photo, or any group shot works. You don't need a separate reference image for this edit; both people just need to already be in the frame.

   Expect: Simple case: 20-30 seconds. Complex case (crowded photo, overlapping people): 45-60 seconds and may need a follow-up refinement.

   Describe what you want

   Type an instruction naming both people by a visible detail — not by their name, since the AI can't read name tags — and say where each one should end up, e.g. 'move the person in the blue shirt to where the person in red is standing, and vice versa.' Being specific about who goes where matters more than any other detail.

   Tip: Describe people by a visible feature (shirt color, hair, row position) rather than just 'left' and 'right' if the photo isn't perfectly symmetrical — it reduces mix-ups.

   Put someone in front instead of the back Move the person standing in the back row to the front-center spot, and move the person currently in front-center to where they were standing.

   Review the result

   Check that both people's faces, body proportions, and skin tones look natural in their new spot, and that the lighting on each of them still matches the direction of light in the rest of the photo. Also check that nothing else in the background shifted or warped.

   Refine with markers if needed

   If the AI swaps the wrong two people in a crowded photo, or blends an edge oddly, tap a marker directly on each person and reissue the same instruction. Most two-person swaps in normal group photos work fine without this.

   Tip: Markers are for precision refinement, not a required step.
