Do I need to mark areas before describing the clothes?
No. Just type 'put a fitted black turtleneck on this person' or any outfit description. The AI virtual try-on for clothes understands what 'turtleneck' and 'trousers' mean.
How do I do an AI virtual try-on for clothes from a photo?
Upload your photo to EditThisPic and type a description of the clothes you want to try on. The AI virtual try-on for clothes generates the look in about 30 seconds. Free preview, no signup — purchased downloads are clean, full quality.
Is there a free AI virtual try-on for clothes?
Yes. EditThisPic is a free AI virtual try-on for clothes — no account, no login, no app download. Upload, describe the outfit you want to try, download the result. Works on desktop and mobile.
Can I use this to decide what to buy online?
Yes — that's the most popular use. Try the outfit on your photo first, then decide if you actually want to buy it. It saves a lot of return shipping.
How do I make the try-on look realistic?
Specify three things: fit ('fitted', 'oversized'), color ('charcoal', 'cream', 'rust'), and material ('wool', 'silk', 'denim'). Explicit details give the AI clear guidance for a realistic result.
Does AI virtual try-on work on full-body and half-body photos?
Yes. Half-body and full-body photos both work. Full-body gives the AI more space to render the entire outfit including pants/shoes; half-body is great for tops, sweaters, blouses, and accessories.
Can I try on multiple outfits on the same photo?
Yes. Run the same photo through multiple prompts to compare looks. Each prompt produces a fresh result so you can see your options side-by-side before deciding.
Will the AI keep my face and body the same?
Yes. The AI changes only the clothing — your face, hair, body shape, and pose stay the same. Only the outfit is transformed.
Is it safe to upload my photo to a virtual try-on?
Yes. EditThisPic only processes your photo for the edit you request. Photos are never used to train AI models; our Privacy Policy explains how long uploads and results are kept. You always keep your original photo.
How do I do a virtual try-on for accessories like belts or bags?
Add accessories to your prompt: 'with a tan leather belt', 'add a black crossbody bag', 'wearing gold hoop earrings.' The AI handles small accessory additions alongside the main outfit change.
